(2) Volunteer for Senior Home Delivered Meals
Help frail elderly and the disabled in our community by delivering or packing a meal - you can create your own schedule! TCAA delivers more than 200 meals per day (Monday-Friday) out of the North Tempe Community Center to Tempe and South Scottsdale residents. Meal packing volunteers are especially needed on Friday mornings. This is a fun and rewarding experience for families (especially in the summer!) TCAA reimburses for mileage and you use your own vehicle.
Contact Mary for more information at 480-350-5886.

Need Meals?  Contact the Area Agency on Aging 24hr Helpline at 602-264-HELP or on the web at www.aaaphx.org.

(3) Holiday Toy Shoppe, sponsored by IKEA-Tempe

Assistance also needed in picking up donations, organizing and managing distribution of holiday gifts and gift wrapping. Shifts are 2 to 3 hours, weekdays and evenings. Contact Kathy for gift shoppe location and hours - great for offices, groups and families!

(4) Food Pantry Volunteers - help TCAA coordinate our food distribution at our main office at the Escalante Center, 2150 E. Orange St., Tempe. Volunteers help pack grocery bags and distribute to families between 9AM and 12PM, Monday-Friday. A volunteer is also needed to coordinate pick-ups from local grocery stores. Contact Monica.

(5) Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program - This is a great community service project for several families to do together. It is easy to do and children can have an active role. You provide and serve a complete meal including paper goods and drinks for 40 people. You also provide 40 sack lunches. The meal can be anything you want. Some examples include sloppy joes, meatloaf, spaghetti, lasagna, and tostadas. Congregations in Tempe are also needed to provide shelter.
